Firm Profile

Byron Dopkins, Sr., who believed in serving clients with personal, individual service, founded Dopkins Accounting Services in River Falls, Wisconsin in 1970. In 1977, Byron Dopkins, Jr. joined the firm and in 1991, Ben Gaus joined that firm after graduating from UW-River Falls with a degree in accounting. Together they grew the practice by gaining a reputation for impeccable service and having the utmost integrity and discretion. Today Dopkins Accounting Services has expanded its operation to service the Hudson Community on a local basis.

Dopkins Accounting Services is committed to continuing education. Between Byron and Ben, they attend 100 to 140 hours of educational seminars annually, which is more than two and one half times the amount required by the state association. Dopkins Accounting Services recently made history when Byron Jr. became president of the Wisconsin Association of Accountants, a position his father held 10 years ago. They are the first father and son to hold the president's position.
